SummarySummary
 What is Eminescu for high school students
today? Tough question! For many - a canonical
author, with several others currently in the high
school curriculum and therefore baccalaureate,
ready to mess up the final exam has idealistic
and pessimistic philosophy sometimes
misogynistic, her disturbing visions with great
pictures cosmogonist with "panorama vanities"
deep I dream projections, a lover unhappy and
skeptical, a visionary, a romantic troubadour, a
metaphysical revolt. Put simply, a genius.
Critical clichés repeated by
teachers
 are extensive among students eager good grades
and a clear victory baccalaureate. Often follows a
simplified Eminescu "landed“ sudden, dragged to
the block of understanding of the students. So far
there is nothing to do and still hope that Letters
almost students will understand more. Predictive
tests, extemporal, theses, other forms of
assessment attest to the difficulties of
understanding adolescent lyrical message
Eminescu, and opacities in assuming biography

build hypotheses from famous biography călinesciană

unintentionally humorous, confirming the thesis that Eminescu is

Per Užgavėnes rūmuose nelikdavo

By JŪRATĖ MIČIULIENĖ
Shrove Tuesday, the palace of Kings falls to the ground
Folk traditions of Mardi Gras, and cherished Rumšiškės are mentioned in almost every
town, it’s no news. However, little is known of how celebrated the Grand Dutchy of
Lithuania rulers and nobles the Shrove Tuesday. It seems that feasts and carnivals
flats lasted three days .
The Royal Palace Museum employees want to revive these traditions and March 1 ,
Saturday, for the first time they invited to the House of Shrove Tuesday . According to
historians , on Shrove Tuesday the Royal Palace of the kings fell to the ground-they
dressed peasants and made merry till early in the morning. Unfortunately there is no
surviving painting representing this joyful feast. It is mentioned only in noblemen
memories .
Mardi Gras’ royal tradition from the Lithuanian’s Grand Duchy in Vilnius, rulers of
German lands, came to Poland. “In the seventeenth century Baroque period,
especially during the vasa era, the Mardi Gras feast of the palace had been a much-
loved event . Entertainment lasted three days - until Ash Wednesday - said the Royal
Palace Museum Cultural events coordinator Egle Belozaraite .The palace festival
differed from the folk festival of Mardi Gras .The Rulers, their retinue, the nobles and
the wealthiest city dwellers, were not content with the carnival during the
celebrations. There were held luge race , knight tournaments , concerts, ballet
performances opera and spectacular ballet . Happenings took place not only in the
palace , but also in the surrounding pubs . Mardi Gras' peak, of course , was the
carnival masks and much fruit.”
The peasants in disguise
According E. Belozaraites , the residents had no choice and were
obliged to make changes. The Ruler and his wife loved to change
the peasants, mostly those of other nations-French, German or
exotic Moors, Africans. They wore clothes which were sewn from
those countries popular brightly colored fabric . Shepherds
depicting nobles clothed in linen shirts. An inn's owner, in whose
pocket were all the fruity carnival participants, had certainly
become one of the participants of the event . For example ,
historian Eimantas Gudas, who explored Stanislaw Radziwill
Albertos memories found a 1644 entry, that during the Mardi Gras
" Marshal Sapieha of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania palace, who
used to raise the king previously with luxurious dinners , now kindly
agreed to be the inn's owner.”
Mardi Gras Animations were loved not only by vases but also by
Augustus II . He even visited the Venice Carnival. According E.
Belozaraites palace masks were minimal, covering only the eyes.
“When nobles cast as lower caste people, they wore simple
clothes. However, a peasant dressed king and queen had to
present expensive jewellery ”- said E. Belozaraite .
In already mentioned A.S. Radvilos memories of 1639, March 6
"There was held a dance at night in the castle, the queen and the
princess appeared in masks . Mardi Gras' celebrations and fun in
the royal palace lasted three days until Wednesday (that is Ash
Wednesday ) dawn. I had mild gout, kindly lay at home . "
After two years AS Radvila wrote again: “The Queen and the
other one dressed as Maurie danced merrily. Prince Casimir and
bishop prince Karolis unrolled a couple of ruler and courtiers gifts.
Fiesting was worthy prince. In the evening, according to the
German custom, spell cards, was a German inn carnival, which
paid as a " master " of Smolensk Voivod. Late in the night we saw
a funny comedy about Arnide. The last three days before Ash
Wednesday was again dancing in the castle, fun in the city".
Read the article above and answer the questions:
1.How many days did the celebrations of Mardi Gras last?
2.Are there surviving paintings depicting the celebrations of Mardi Gras?
3.Could you describe the palace masks?
4.Peasants didn't have the right to disguise themselves. True or false?

  • 26. SummarySummary  What is Eminescu for high school students today? Tough question! For many - a canonical author, with several others currently in the high school curriculum and therefore baccalaureate, ready to mess up the final exam has idealistic and pessimistic philosophy sometimes misogynistic, her disturbing visions with great pictures cosmogonist with "panorama vanities" deep I dream projections, a lover unhappy and skeptical, a visionary, a romantic troubadour, a metaphysical revolt. Put simply, a genius.
  • 27. Critical clichés repeated by teachers  are extensive among students eager good grades and a clear victory baccalaureate. Often follows a simplified Eminescu "landed“ sudden, dragged to the block of understanding of the students. So far there is nothing to do and still hope that Letters almost students will understand more. Predictive tests, extemporal, theses, other forms of assessment attest to the difficulties of understanding adolescent lyrical message Eminescu, and opacities in assuming biography

  • 31. The commentsThe comments  Corrupt and ungrateful woman can appreciate the emotional and aesthetic sacrifice lover, deluded chimera a moment of love. Teen considerations sometimes reveal opacity understanding and a "philosophy" land without chill  "In my opinion, the author sees imaginary girlfriend sick"; "In this stanza, Mihai Eminescu tells us how these women gave innocence, respect for poetry.
