Volunteering exposes students to new career paths, encourages empathy for others, and improves character. It allows people to help their community in various ways like at animal shelters, schools, or hospitals. Volunteering has personal and professional benefits like feeling rewarding, building skills and connections, and improving self-esteem and academic performance. Many schools and universities now require volunteer hours to graduate in order to encourage community involvement.
Hello. My name is Arkeisha Keller and my powerpoint is over an educational issue. I chose the topic why volunteering is important. This picture represents one of the student volunteers that helped out on plant a garden day.
Volunteering promotes learning through active participation, extends beyond the classroom and improves the community. Thus this is the reason why we should volunteer, because it is a great cause.
Most of the time we volunteer because its required, but true volunteering is when you do it out of the goodness of your heart.
Many options available to you. You have to find a volunteer opportunity that fits your personality, consider areas of interest in which you are most passionate.
This is a list of just a few of the different places that you can volunteer and get involved.

Volunteering can have a lot of good outcomes not only benefiting the people you had help, but yourself as well.
Volunteering helps impact students community awareness, making them become more involved and active. Students that volunteer know more about job opportunities and open their eyes on diversity.
Many students do not ever think about “what if” they did not have something. Volunteer makes you not take granted the little things in our own lives, because it might mean a lot to someone else in their life.

I know that all the schools in my district have made it mandatory for students to volunteer and have even set up field-trips so that elementary students will get involved a long with their parents as well.
Nationwide, school legislative offices are making it so that all high schools and colleges volunteer.
You can enjoy volunteering. You meet people from different backgrounds. Do some type of volunteer service that you are interested in, and trust me. It will be a memory that you keep with you forever.
Visit the organization in which you are interested in before you make a commitment. Make sure it fits you. Be realistic about how many hrs you are able to volunteer, remembering school comes first. Show up on time and don’t skip scheduled days.
