The comma and you. The comma is one of the friendliest and most helpful of punctuations. But I’m getting ahead of myself folks.
Some of you may be asking, what is a comma?
A comma is a punctuation that we could call the cousin of the period. It is round with at the head with a small tail flourished on the right hand side. To some of you it may look like a tad pole or a an upside down raindrop, but you’re wrong it’s a comma. Unlike it’s cousin the period, it doesn’t ask for a full stop of a sentence or phrase, it just asks if we can slow down for a second before continuing on.
You’re probably asking yourself, how can a comma be helpful in a sentence?
