- History: Legacy garden from 150 yr old community institution, Shih Yu-Lang Central YMCA, one of the first rooftop gardens in SF ~30 yrs old
- Methods: intergenerational experiential learning, cognitive apprenticeship (John Sealy Brown)
- Methods: Permaculture : urban ecology, water conservation, sheet mulching on asphalt. Building from heritage, innovating for future.
