It is becoming increasingly difficult to get all your daily chores done nowadays. Life has become
hectic for everyone irrespective of what you are and what you do. There are many distracting
factors like TV, Mobile Phones, overflowing traffic, noise pollution etc., to ward off before you
could complete your tasks. In the present chaotic conditions it is becoming almost impossible for
students to study, play, interact with parents and friends and at the same time keep with the fast
moving world. Under these circumstances a student need to organize his/her daily scheduling in
such a way that it will not be taxing on your body and mind. Here we give you some time
management and other tips for better studying that would help you divide your time in a better
way.
Schedule your study time
Your 24 hours should be divided properly giving consideration to the importance of each activity.
This becomes more important if you happen to be an average student then you will do well to
follow these tips for better studying. You need to cultivate a habit of writing your tasks on a
tack board mounted on the wall or cards on which the schedules are written. Now very carefully
deduct the time that you need for other things like sleeping, eating, playing, socializing and
school.
2. Now you may be left with about 6 hours that you could use for studying. This you can proportion
it in 2 or one hour time slot that could be sandwiched between other activities. Studying at a
stretch for 4 to 5 hours will not help. This will drain your concentration and energy. Each study
time should be interrupted with 10 minutes break each hour. During this break you could do
things like meditating. The best suitable time for studying is when you feel highly energized.
Morning times are always very ideal for studying with its calming factor and less noise pollution.
Do some self assessment
If you find that you are always falling back due to time shortage then you need some soul
searching. You may be taking too big of load on yourself that you cannot possibly manage. Take
the following tips for better studying under adverse circumstances. Every one is not born an
Einstein and everybody does not have the same level of interest and concentration needed for
studying. Then what should you do? You choose your study course that suits your ability and
living circumstances. Cut down on excessive socializing, mingle with study groups and reduce
the time you spend in front of TV. Another one of the tips for better studying that you can
apply with good effects is to listen to some light music that will not disturb your concentration.
Some mind smoothing music will go a lot of good to your concentration and at the same time
shut off all those noise coming from the street.
