in the United States is 58, but there are some organizations
that are led by young people, proving that to run a successful
business is not necessary to have a lot of years’ experience.
These CEO’s that are mentioned in this article are recognized
for their abilities in different industries, like technology,
finances or fashion. Also for their achievements, which have
positioned their businesses in the top of their industries.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook
With 32 years old, Zuckerberg has led Facebook for more than 10 years.
From its foundation in 2004, he has been the head of this great company,
considered the biggest social network in the world with more than 5 billion
people connected. This company reported revenues for more than $15
billion dollars and incomes for more than $3 billion dollars in the last year.
Currently, Facebook is valuated in more than $300 billion dollars.
Zuckerberg was born in White Plains, the United States on 1984. When he
had 18 years old, he developed and launched Synapse Media Player, a
music app that worked using the music preferences of its users. Due to
this innovating system, Microsoft wanted to buy it, but there was not a
sales agreement. Years later, studying at Harvard, Zuckerberg developed
some social networking software for university students and in 2004
based on these social creations, he launched Facebook, which years later
would be the biggest social network in the world.

Larry Page, Alphabet, Inc.
With 43 years old, Larry Page is the CEO of Alphabet (Google’s parent
company), which is dedicated to developing software, internet tools, and
electronic devices. He is considered one of the richest people in the world
and the co-founder with Sergey Brin of Google Inc., one of the greatest
technology organizations in history.
Page was born on 1973, in Michigan, United States. When he was
studying his Ph.D. at the Stanford University, he met Sergey Brin and in
1998 they working together launched Google, an internet search engine
which works with Page Rank technology. Page was the CEO of Google
with Brin from its creation in 1998 to 2001. In that year, Page moved to
another charge in Google, but 10 years later he would return as the CEO.
Under his leadership, Google has become in one of the greatest
technology companies in the world and has revolutionized the internet
history.

Stefan Larsson, Ralph Lauren
Stefan Larsson was born on 1974 in Sweden. At his 41, he is the head of
Ralph Lauren Corporation, one of the most important design companies
in the world, which sells luxury clothing to men, women, and children. This
company was founded in 1967 in the United States and currently it has
the presence in the whole world, with revenues of more than $7 billion
dollars. Larsson replaced the company’s founder, Ralph Lauren on 2015,
who led the company for 50 years. Before becoming Ralph Lauren’s CEO,
Stefan was the global president of Old Navy and H&M.
As president of Old Navy, he converted it into GAP Inc., which was the
owner of Old Navy. With this transformation, the company grew up in
revenues and incomes. Working for H&M, he achieved the expansion of
this company (from 12 countries to 44) and increased its annual revenues
from $3 billion dollars to $17 billion dollars.

David Karp, Tumblr
He was born on 1986, in New York United States. Currently, he works
as the CEO of Tumblr, a microblogging platform that allows its users to
post and share text, videos, images, audios, among other things on the
internet. Besides, its users can follow other people sharing their
content. Presently, Tumblr has more than 300 million blogs and more
than 170 million of registered users. On 2013, Yahoo! purchased this
platform for $1.1 billion dollars.
Before Tumbler, Karp worked in different companies related to
technology and software development. After some years of working
as an employee, Karp founded his own software consultancy
company in 2006. A year later, with 20 years old, he transformed that
business in Tumblr. At present, with 30 years, Karp leads this
successful company.

Marissa Mayer, Yahoo!
With 40 years old, Marissa Mayer leads Yahoo! since 2012. Before
being the Yahoo! CEO, she worked at Google, Inc. from 1999 to
2012 in different charges. In 2012, she was the vice president of
Search products and User experience in Google and in that year,
she started working in Yahoo! as CEO.
Mayer was born in Wisconsin, United States, on 1975. She studied
symbolic systems at Stanford University in 1997, where she
graduated with honors. In 1999 she started working with Google,
being one of its first employees and the first woman in the
company.

As it was mentioned above, age is not a guarantee for a successful
business. These cited entrepreneurs are young people with short
experience who had an idea that was executed in an excellent way,
taking advantage of their knowledge and abilities.
