What kind of media institution might distribute your media thriller

  1. 1. What kind of media institutionmight distribute your mediaproduct and why?
  2. 2. Real production/distributioncompany In the UK our thriller could be distributed by such distribution companies such as Metrodome via the microwave scheme who give small British films a chance to be made with a budget of £100,000 and 18 days to make it. This would be good for our thriller as it would be a small British made thriller.
  3. 3. How our film could be viewed Our thriller could be viewed via the digital cinema or on the internet via a website as it is aimed at the younger generation such as 16-21 year olds. To market our film we should use viral marketing as not a lot of people will have heard about our thriller so we will need to get people to hear about our film. We could do this by sending out a viral email to get people to click on a link and watch the trailer of our film and then to pass it on to their friends to increase the films popularity.
  4. 4. Comparing our films to realexamples? Shifty would be a great example to our thriller as it is also a small scale British film who need to use viral marketing to get there film across the media market.
  5. 5. Reasons for distributing your filmby these methods? The reasons we have decided to distribute our films by using viral marketing and distributing companies such as Metrodome and the microwave scheme is that our film will be a small scale film that no one will have heard of. Also we will not have much money to market this film so we needed to get our film across to everyone cheap and make sure we attract them to watch our film.
