It is worth stating beliefs
If we have different beliefs, we can save ourselves from the argument
If you are not sure about a belief, then consider its conclusions
If it sounds like I am suggesting my work is good... I’m not!
I am only referring to the good work of others:
I think the NHS is full of good IT work
Belief: the NHS exists to serve patients
Belief: the best way to serve patients has
not yet been invented
Belief: most inventors do not, and never
will, work for the NHS
Because most people do not, and never will, work for the NHS
Belief: most inventors do not, and never
will, work for a large company
Because most quit their jobs to start a new company
Belief: inventors love accountability but
hate committees
Belief: patients know best (if we let them)
The NHS exists to serve patients
The best way to serve patients has not been invented yet
