5. Kenya’s Sportsmen
Catherine Ndereba-Considered by many to be the
greatest female marathon runner ever. She won the
World Championships twice in 2003 and 2007. She
won 2 Olympic silver medals and won the Boston
marathon four times. She holds the world record
for number of sub 2:30 marathons

Worldwide over 50,000 women and girls die related to
pregnancy and childbirth a year
Over 99 percent of those deaths occur in developing
countries such as Kenya

7. Women and Girls Education
In most developing countries girls do not receive the same
opportunities at education as boys do

8. The Rift Valley
The Rift Valley is one of the wonders of the world,
stretching from the Middle East, down through Africa,
reaching as far as Mozambique. The staggering view,
as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya is quite
unbelievable. The ground suddenly disappears from
under you to show the huge expanse of the great rift,
stretching for thousands of miles in either direction.
