Businesses expect ISO 9001 to require less documentation and make quality systems easier to maintain and use. Traditional paper-based systems are inefficient and not always up to date. A web-based quality system can eliminate paper and generate records and reports in real time, making information available anywhere. It can also help businesses improve and reduce the costs of ISO 9001 compliance.

Editor's Notes
Nobody reads it until audit time when the auditor spots a problem. Time searching for form xyz, document abc… Now I’ve found it but is it the latest version. Can we go to production based on this document that I don’t know is up-to-date???!! Or you get a Document Tzar / Gatekeeper Issues are missed and at audit time they become a non-conformance. It can be enough to fail the audit. Reschedule. How much did that cost? Calibration was missed – now it’s time for rework or even worse – recall. Where are the records? How do you get data out? uh oh. Someone worked on a job with an expired certification. I hope nothing went wrong…It could get ugly. Where is the value of ISO9001 here? Only the certificate to satisfy the supplier. What a shame.
