    • Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses who specialize in a specific area of nursing. They work in hospitals, doctor’s office, nursing home, and clinics. They usually wear uniforms, and keep detailed records.

    • Advanced High School classes- Math, English, Science and Social Studies. Other classes-Anatomy and Physiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Foreign Language (minimum of two years), and Statistics and Probability.
    • Majors/Degrees in Pre-Nursing and Clinic Nursing
    • MUST be a Registered Nurse who has a master’s degree or a doctorate

    • National salary range: $42,020 to $87,310

  • Psychologist
    • Psychologists study how people think, feel and act when they are alone and with others. They try to understand, explain or change someone’s behavior. There are 3 types of psychologists- research, counseling and applied.
    • Education
    • Take advanced High School classes, and other classes like Anatomy and Physiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Foreign Language (minimum of two years), and Statistics and Probability.
    • Must have at least a master degree in psychology, and a doctorate is recommended.
    • Need a license from the state.

  • Podiatrist
    • A Podiatrist (aka a foot doctor) treats injuries, diseases, and deformities of the foot. They can perform foot and ankle surgery, and they prescribe drugs and physical therapy to strengthen the foot.
    • Education
    • Advanced High School classes- Math, English, Science and Social Studies. Other classes-Anatomy and Physiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Foreign Language (minimum of two years), and Statistics and Probability
    • Complete 3 years of college, then apply to a podiatry college
    • Must be a licensed Podiatrist
