  2. 2. Heterogeneous Mixture<br />Cereal is a heterogeneous mixture because the pieces of cereal are not completely mixed in together.<br />
  3. 3. Heterogeneous Mixture<br />Salad dressing is a heterogeneous mixture because the dressing isn&apos;t mixed in either and the dressing could have things in it separated from each other.<br />
  4. 4. Homogeneous Mixture<br />Lemon juice is a homogeneous mixture because its ingredients cannot be separated. <br />
  5. 5. Homogeneous Mixture<br />Tap water is an example of a homogeneous mixture because its components cannot be separated either.<br />
  6. 6. Compound<br />Salt is a compound because there are more than 2 elements combined to create it.<br />
  7. 7. Compound<br />Sugar is a compound for the same reason salt is, it has more than 2 elements combined into it. For example, 2 elements in sugar are sucrose and carbon. <br />
  8. 8. Element<br />A penny is an example of an element because it is made of copper. Its element symbol is CU.<br />
  9. 9. Mixture<br />Soda is a mixture because it has substances mixed in together to form it.<br />
