  1. 1. Aluminum <ul><li>Aluminum is an element. It is an element because It is on the Periodic Table and It has a capital letter in it’s symbol. </li></ul>
  2. 2. Sugar <ul><li>Sugar is a compound because it has more then two atoms in it to make the Sugar. and it has more then one capital letter in it’s symbol. It is Chemically combined. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Salt <ul><li>Salt is a compound. It is a compound because it has more then one capital letter in it’s symbol. Has more then two atoms mixed into it to make the Salt. It is Chemically combined. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Salsa <ul><li>Salsa is a mixture because it has more the one pure substance. It has peppers and many different spices. The substances are physically combined. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Cookies and Crème Ice Cream <ul><li>Ice Cream is a mixture. It is a mixture because it has more then one pure substance like the cookies and the Ice Cream. The substances are physically combined. </li></ul>

  9. 9. Hot Pockets <ul><li>Hot Pockets are Heterogeneous mixtures. They are Heterogeneous mixtures because you can see the layers in the mixture. You can see the Bacon, eggs, and cheese all mixed up. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Salad Dressing <ul><li>Italian Dressing is a Heterogeneous mixture because you can see the oil, water, and spices in their own separate layers in the bottle. </li></ul>
