Sapa - Exploration of Tribal Culture Tour

With our trip you will learn more about how the rice is cultivating from when the seed
sowed to harvest until being served as cooked rice on your dinner table as well as
discover how they live, what they do and a little bit how they think. You will be attracted

Night 1: Night train to Lao Cai Station (Soft sleeper in A/C wooden cabin)
Day 1: Lao Cai Station – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van
Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho
Day 3: Ban Ho – Sapa – Lao Cai Station – Overnight train back to Hanoi

7h30pm, Go Asia Travel’s bus and guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you
for the overnight train to Lao Cai Station. Enjoy the experience the romance of overnight

Upon arrival in Sapa Town we have breakfast in local restaurant take time to relax, enjoy
Sapa pure atmosphere, and visit Sapa market.
In the afternoon, prepare for a great trek down to the picturesque valley of Muong Hoa.
We will walk on small paths and trails to reach Lao Chai and Tavan Village to visit the
Tay and Day tribes, where we will have unique homestay experience among hill tribe
people, dinner and overnight in the local house.
Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Supan - Ban Ho (B, L, D):
After breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dao minority. You will trek
through bamboo forest which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park. On the way you
will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. Amazing sceneries and beautiful waterfall are to be
seen in the afternoon. Arrive in Supanbefore getting to Ban Ho - the village of the Tay
hill tribe. Take a rest then walking around the village before dinner, overnight in the local
house.
Day 3: Ban Ho - Sapa – Lao Cai Station – Overnight train back to Hanoi (B, L):
The last day of the Sapa tour will be finished by walking up to the main road. Our jeep
brings youback to Sapa for lunch, free time in the afternoon.
Dinner is for your choice. Then our car will transfer you to Lao Cai station for overnight
train back to Hanoi
Day 4: Arrive back to Hanoi:
You will arrive in Hanoi Station at around 5h30am

The trekking day
Trekking Grade: Difficult
A typical trekking day start at about 9.00 am after breakfast. Lunch times can vary
depending on the terrain. During the trek we will have short breaks for rest, snack and
photographing.
Food
All meals which are indicated in the itinerary are included in the price of this trip. Picnic
lunch would be prepared by a local restaurant. The emphasis will be on healthy and
nutritious fresh local produce. Please inform us if you have any special dietary
requirement.

The tour guide and transfers
In Hanoi, Our guide will follows the tour and accompany you to the train to show you
your cabin.
In Lao Cai, our guide will meet you at Lao Cai Railway Station in the morning of the first
day and follows the tour. He also sees you off at Lao Cai Railway Station on the third
day.
When you get back to Hanoi on day 4, you can easily find a taxi to get to your hotel by
your self.
What to bring
Trekking boot, sun block, hat, anti-insect repellent, sunglasses, rain coat, toiletries,
original passport.

Home stay – the unique experience
On the Northwest Mountain Villages tour, you will need to hike five or six hours per day
along a scenic valley to reach a small cluster of ethnic minority villages located in remote
area around Sapa. Home stay is really highlights of tour that give you unique experience
to discover life and culture of ethnic minorities. Home stay in villages is simple in term
of bedding condition and toilet, clean and located beside a spring with a good view. We
will sleep on beds with mattress, clean sheet, pillows and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually
flush-style. The hosts are very friendly and eager to please. Usually, the host family or
guide will cook meals for you, but will not join in out of respect for the guests. If you
prefer to them to eat with you, you need to ask the guide in advance to make the
arrangements
