UK’s cheapest mobile sells for under a fiver
The ultimate “credit crunch-busting mobile,” says Carphone Warehouse
The Samsung B130: cheap and surprisingly cheerful
Carphone Warehouse has slashed the price of the mobile phone, in a bid to win customers in the
festive period.
The mobile phone seller is stocking a recession-proof pay-as-you-go handse for the measly sum of
t
five pounds. The phone, called the Samsung B130, will sell at this price all the way up to
Christmas.

Pics of Windows Mobile 6.5 emerge
The screenshots show honeycomb menus and a Zune-like interface

Pictures of the forthcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 have emerged on the net, and while we doubt
there’s a huge amount of functionality added, at least the interface has been improved.
SmartphoneFrance.info has published two screenshots of the forthcoming interface (here’s hoping
we’ve not been duped by clevermock-ups, although the website claims they’re totally genuine).

Dom Joly talks iPhone and Nintendo DS
Also featuring Dom in the Bluffer’s Guide to Gadgets
5. Comedian Dom Joly may be the most tech-savvy celebwe’ve pointed our T3 lens at in recent
times.
Not only does he know a Viera from a Vaio, he’s also a dab hand at fooling the great British
public.
Check out the hilarious market stall antics in our video interview as Dom speaks of his love for
gadgets. From phones to plasmas, he’s got it all. It must be nice to be a rich-and-successful-can-
afford-any-piece-of-gadge-you-want funnyman, eh?

Hands on: INQ1 Facebook phone review
Is the Facebook phone going to change the face of mobiles?
The INQ1 handset
TechRadar attended the launch of the INQ1 handset, and we weren’t really sure what we were
going to get. Leaked pics and specs hinted at a slider handset with the abilities of the Skypephone
S2, except with Facebook as the main focus.
6. What we got pleasantly surprised us, especially for the price. It costs £80 on PAYG, or £15 a
month for free on contract. We’d be tempted by the latter opt on, as using the Facebook, Skype
i
chat and internet services on PAYG will eat £5 of your credit each month.

Nokia predicts mobile slowdown in 2009
Expects to sell less phones as world economy chills
Nokia Store: where are all the customers?
Nokia will launch some exciting new handsets next year - including the BlackBerry-busting
Wahoo flip-phone - but it doesn’t expect you to buy them.
The Finnish phone giant is predicting this winter’s economic chill - with decreased consumer
spending and unpredictable exchange rates - to last throughout next year, with fewer handset sales
in 2009 than in 2008.
