2. The longer the years draw out, the more evident it becomes that life is fraught with
hardship, opportunity, and difficult decisions, contingent on the discretion of the liver.
Though there’s no absolute rule on how to lead a good life, there is wisdom intertwined
with the patterns that lead certain people to success and others to failure. Following this

book Never Go Back: 10 Things You’ll Never Do Again. Hopefully this simple set of
guidelines will stand as good advice in your endeavors.

3. Returning to
what hasn’t
worked.
Sure, bumps along the way are a
given in life, but can serve to steer
us in a better direction. It’s a
mistake to return to a situation that
hasn’t worked in the past thinking it
will now.

4. Try to change another.
Projecting your own perspective and ways of doing
things on another person is stressful and unfulfilling for
both parties. Fulfillment comes from within, trying to
find your own and allowing others to do the same is in
keeping with the right path.
Disingenuousness.
You probably won’t find success or happiness if you
aren’t being true to yourself.

5. Believing you
can please
everyone.
Meeting the wishes of everyone with
conflicting interests is impossible.
The most important thing is pleasing
yourself, and sticking near the
people who are pleased with that.

6. Opting for short
term comfort over
long term benefit.
Hedonists rarely rise to the
surface. Success requires
carefully planning and
calculated steps.
Belief in the perfection of anyone. No
one is without their flaws! Don’t fence others off, but don’t follow
a person blindly believing they hold all the answers.
Missing out on the big picture. Consider
your aim in life and plan accordingly. Getting sidetracked along
the way puts more time between you and your goal, feed the
accomplishment of the grander scheme.

diligence.
No one said it was going to
be easy! The path to
success is lined with
tedious effort and diligent
attention.
Avoiding

Successful people
question their position in
life, taking time and
committing to self-critique
over whether they’re in
the right place, and if not,
how to get there.
Forgetting that
one’s inner life
influences their
ultimate success.
Having peace within graces a
person’s actions and touches
the outcome of their life in a
positive way. Whatever is
harbored within will
undoubtedly be projected
outwardly.
