Postinho
was
founded
in
2008
by
Conspiração
Filmes
as
consecuence
of
shooting
the
film
“Era
uma
vez”.
Two
were
started
but
failed
to
go
through.
In
December
2009,
Cantagalo,
Pavão
y
Pavãozinho
comunities
recieved
the
UPP
Proyect
to
work
on
the
pacification
of
the
local
area.
Right
away,
the
comunity
leader
presented
Postinho
to
the
current
ONG
President
Julia
Rangel,
who
showed
interest
in
developing
a
local
iniciative.
So,
in
April
26th
of
2010
Postinho
was
born.
Volunteers
in
the
health
industry
were
gathered
through
social
networks
to
work
with
us.
The
mission
was
to
promote
prevented
health
in
the
comunity,
using
the
services
that
Postinho
offers.
In
October
2010,
Postinho
got
support
of
valuable
people
who
not
only
helped
them
organize
the
ONG’s
structure
but
also
stated
new
methods
of
work.
In
March
8th
2011
Rede
Postinho
preventive
health
for
women
was
born.

Our
work
is
to
create
a
network
of
specialized
and
diverse
volunteers,
to
manage
a
model
of
health
associations
and
to
capture
partnerships
,
that
in
the
long
term,
will
allow
us
to
built
a
better
world.

Volunteers
Core
Our
work
is
done
100%
with
volunteers
that
work
in
the
health
industry.
They´re
multidisciplicary,
and
organized
under
a
certain
core
action
in
order
to
solve
problems
related
to
women.
We
want
women
able
to
solve
their
health
problems,
so
they
can
have
a
good
life
and
the
possibility
to
conquer
their
well
deserve
spaces.
A
new
and
different
volunteer´s
program
allow
us
to
manage
professionals
from
the
health
industry,
administrative,
communication,
marketing,
legal,
financial
and
organizational
association;
a
quality
result
oriented.
According to the UN definition a volunteer is a young person or an adult that due to his/her personal interest and his/her civic ‘ spirit, give part of their time, without
pay, to different activities, organized or not , to create beneficial change and have a positive impact on people´s lives.
