These two words are the reasons someone is going to pay for your business. Identify, means identifying what their problem is, and validate, means to offer them a solution, it’s telling them why they should buy from you. This is the number two priority for the content of your website. The number one priority is interactivity. You need to interact, get their attention, then do something with that attention. And that something is identify and validate. You are explaining to the public, to a person, that you have successfully built a better mouse trap. That’s it in a nutshell. “Hi Bob! How are you today? I see you’re looking at my website, having trouble with mice? Well let me tell you about my new widget, it’s the latest and greatest at catching mice!

These two words are the reasons someone is going to pay for your business. Identify, means
identifying what their problem is, and validate, means to offer them a solution, it’s telling them why
they should buy from you. This is the number two priority for
the content of your website. The number one priority is
interactivity. You need to interact, get their attention, then do
something with that attention. And that something is identify
and validate. You are explaining to the public, to a person,
that you have successfully built a better mouse trap. That’s it
in a nutshell. “Hi Bob! How are you today? I see you’re looking
at my website, having trouble with mice? Well let me tell you
about my new widget, it’s the latest and greatest at catching

ARE YOU FRUSTRATED WITH YOUR BUSINESS? I CAN
HELP! SEE HOW!
Just like that, you have engaged your audience, and you have identified their problem and
presented them with the solution. Naturally you’ll have a lot more detail than that but that’s an
example of the essential elements in your presentation. The thing is even if somebody is just
browsing, they’re there for a reason, they are interested in what you have to offer. They have a
need and you are offering the solution for that need. It’s
that simple. Tell them, show them, that you’ve built a
better mouse trap and that mouse trap will work for them.
If they buy your product their problem will be solved. One
way in which you build a relationship and interact with
them is by giving them greater detail on their problem.
I HAVE YOUR SOLUTIONS HERE!
Explain to them how widespread the problem with mice is,
give them some background on the dangers and hazards
that mice present, with food damage and corruption, the
spread of disease and general nastiness. Then explain to
them why other products and services don’t fully answer
the question, why the other mouse traps don’t work, and why yours does! Then you get into the
heart of what your mouse trap can do for them. Show them the benefits of it, and by show,
actually show! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well in this day and age there’s no
better picture than video! Get your product or service on a video! You are offering both
interactivity AND you are identifying and validating. Show them exactly how your mouse trap
works. Then close the sale by showing them testimonial’s from other satisfied
customers.
People love reading testimonial’s because it shows them what other’s just like themselves think of
the product. It also gives you an opportunity to reveal other hidden benefits they might not have
thought of. Perhaps your mouse trap is very clean, perhaps it’s humane and captures the mouse
live so it can be released elsewhere? Those are excellent
selling points that can be the final thing that pushes your
browser, into a buyer. So remember, once you’ve created a
2. relationship with your audience, identify the problem, and
offer the solution.
