My name is Edgard Lion and I am a general surgeon who have being working for the pharma industry for some years now.
After finishing my studies at the Medicine college of the University of Sao Paulo (USP) and residency in general surgery at the clinics hospital (USP) I went through a MBA program in marketing at ESPM school and Wharton School of the university of Pennsylvannia besides getting a ICH-GCP certification in clinical research.
I lived in the United Sates so I speak fluent english.
I the last years I have worked as a Medical Manager in different positions and therapeutic areas for multinational companies as Schering-Plough (rheumatology, orthopedics, dermatology), Pfizer (central nervous system), Searle-Monsanto (rheumatology and orthopedics).
At the largets Brazilian pharma company (laboratorio Ache) I had the opportunity to manage people (regulatory affairs manager, clinical research manager, pharmacovigilance manager plus five medical managers) for three years besides giving technical/scientific support to new business department focusing new strategic registry (NDAs), clinical research and scientific support for OTC and phytomedications.
At Novartis I worked for more than eight years ans a senior Medical Manager for ophthalmology and mature products including sales force training, KOLs training, promotional aids review, advisory boards meetings, regulatory affairs technical support, scietific relationship with key opinion leaders and key decision makers.
I also had the oportunity to work for a life and health insurance company looking over five medical manager at headquarters and 25 medical staff audits all over Brazil.
I also contributed as a MSL for Sanofi's oncology being responsible for chemotherapy for CRPC (taxanes) and immunebiologics for metastatic colon cancer (anti-VEGF therapy).
