2. “The earth has music
for those who listen.”
― George Santayana
3. Nowadays, the
situation of our planet
is deplorable. People
do not share any
healthy values and do
not care about
environment. It seems
that we will live in a
even dirtier world
being surrounded by
indifferent people. This
makes the future of our
children questionable.
4. Because of that, we
decided to use the
opportunity offered by
the project “Outreach
Fund ” and try to make a
change and to show
people that, in fact, there
are teenagers who care
and who are not
indifferent, people who
want to give this planet a
second chance . Nature
always takes care of us.
Now it is our turn…
5. Goal: To persuade people to give up
their addictions (smoking) and bad
habits (throwing trash on the ground)
which affect their health, represent
sources of pollution, negatively
influence the environment
and question the future of our planet.
6. Objectives:
To interview people about smoking and
throwing trash in public places;
To persuade people not to smoke;
To show how important it is to preserve
our planet for our followers;
To promote a healthy lifestyle;
To encourage volunteering.
7. 1 st step
We learned
how to write
a project
during our
classes
8. 2 nd step
We discussed
about the things
we could change
in our
community and
selected the best
idea
9. 3 rd step
We selected the
team that would
lead the
implementation of
the project and
filled in the grant
application form
10. 4 th step
We received the
money we
needed, bought the
necessary stuff and
went in a very dirty
park in order to clean
it!
“Since Nature takes care
of us,
we should take care of
Nature”
11.
12. 5 th step
We bought fruits and
juice and went to the
Central Parks from
Bender and Varnita to
suggest/propose smoking
people a trade: a fruit or
juice in exchange of a
cigarette.
14. Feedback:
Gheorghe, 63
“I smoke for a very long time and I don’t think I can give up already. But
you are doing a good job and you should convince the younger people.
Good luck!”
Calin, 24
“I want to give up smoking but my current job stops me from doing
that, I can have a break only when I go to smoke, and it is also very tiring
and the cigarettes give me more energy.”
Ion, 57
“Yes, I want to give up smoking and I will give you one of my cigarettes.
But will that really help me? Is it really effective?”
Tudor, 60
“I used to smoke, I smoke and I will always smoke!”
15. Are these kind of projects effective?

Yes
Probably yes
I don't know
No
16. The answers of the interviewed people
who encouraged us and the positive
commentaries received from the
people who were crossing by the park
we were cleaning makes us believe that
we reached our goal. This motivates us
to move on…
