In Suggested Purchase Order, you can set up a hierarchy for requisition approvals. This enables you to enforce company policies for approvals within the AllChannel™ Suite.

How To Use The Requisition Approval Process
In Suggested Purchase Order, you can set up a hierarchy for requisition approvals. This enables you to enforce company
policies for approvals within the AllChannel™ Suite.
Use the Requisition Approval Maintenance window to set a hierarchy for approving requisitions within your organization.
Once the hierarchy is set in this window and the MS_REQUISITION_APPROVAL parameter is set to TRUE, all requisitions
that exceed the Limit will require an approval from the person assigned as the Approver or the Alternate in the Requisition
Lookup and Approval window in Master Scheduling.

Adding Users and Setting Hierarchy
Open the Requisition Approval Maintenance window in the Security module.
NOTE: The hierarchy can be several layers deep. Every approver and alternate must have a higher approval limit
than the user.

1. Click Add User in the toolbar.
2. Select a User from the drop-down menu.
NOTE: Only users set to a default of the current Company in the Security Maintenance window will appear in
the drop-down list.
3. Select an Approver for the user.
4. If applicable select an alternate approver from the Alternate drop-down list.
5. An Approval Limit must be set at or below the amount of any approver or alternate assigned to the user. If the limit
does exceed the approver’s, the following warning message will appear.
6. Click Save. The User will appear in the grid under the Approver.

Deleting Users
Selecting a user and click Delete User from the toolbar removes the user from the approval hierarchy.
If the user is assigned as an approver for anyone, the following window will appear.
Select a new Approver from the drop-down list and click Change Approver to assign the user another approver.
Select Clear Approver to move all users assigned to the approver at the next level of the hierarchy.
Creating Requisitions
When a approvals are required for a buyer, the following message will appear when Validate & Save or Validate & Hold
is selected.
At the point, the Approver needs to look at the requisition. The requisition may be found in the Requisition Lookup and
Approval window using the Needs Approval filter.

The Requisition can be approved or rejected from the Requisition Lookup and Approval window using the toolbar options
or the approver can double-click on the requisition to open it in the Requisition window.
Clicking Reject will open the Approve or Reject window where a comment is required to complete the rejection. Clicking
Approve will open the same window, but a comment is not required to finish the approval.
