3. Prep Time
•Teachers will have Prep with their “Team” of teachers – i.
e. one Math, LA, Science and Soc. Studies teacher will
share (as best as possible) the same students and will
have a common prep.
•Prep Time will be honored for specific things like planning,
parent conferences, SST’s, IEP’s, communication with
parents, etc.
4. Early Release Wednesday
•Schedule for Early Release Wednesday from 1:30 – 3:00
pm (May not occur in this order)
•#1: Curriculum Planning – time for people to meet that are
teaching the same things – Core Subjects, Fine Arts, PE,
Special Ed., EL/Newcomers, etc. This time also would
have flexibility for the needs of the departments or to meet
with curriculum coaches, with administration, etc.
•#2: Curriculum Planning
•#3: 7th Period Planning time.
–Staff Meeting 3:00 – 4:00
•#4: Curriculum Planning
5. 7th Period
•The first 2 weeks of each trimester be
designated to teaching “study skills” in all
7th period classes.
There will be a committee to develop the
curriculum for this before the end of school so that
it is ready for the 1st 2 weeks of school and the
beginning of 2nd and 3rd trimesters
