Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of 2 and 3D images that moves in such a way that it makes the illusion of movement. The most common way of creating an animation is a motion picture, although many other forms exist.

Sector structure:
The animation sector as a whole is an extremely large business, which is still expanding. There are many large company's, such as Pixar, although there is still smaller company's, and individuals who work doing freelance.
