2. When Curly was a young boy he lived on
615 North Irwin Street in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in
a small brick building. When he grew a little
older the Lambeau’s moved to 1205 Cherry
Street.
3. When Curly was a young boy he played
football with his friends with a small sack
filled with sand, leaves, and pebbles because
they couldn’t afford a real football.
4. Curly went to school at Whitney Grade
School.
He led the team to victory against the East
High team.
5. Curly had a girl friend named Marguerite Van
Kessel.
They spent lots of time together when Curly
wasn’t busy with sports.
6. When Curly was a young adult the NFL
started.
Green Bay was one of the first teams to be in
the league.

When Curly was an adult he asked for Marguerite to
marry him and she said, “yes.” A couple of years later in
December they had their first and only child. His name
was Donald. Later in life Curly and Marguerite divorced
each other. Then, Curly remarried a woman named
Susan Johnson. Then he divorced her too. Curly got
married one more time to Grace Garland and divorced
her too.
8. Curly Lambeau died on June 1,1965, in
Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He had lived a long
and strong life.
9. Curly won three NFL Championships in a row.
Curly was a strong and a powerful man. He
lived a long hard life and loved to play
football.
I loved reading this book about Curly
Lambeau. It was very interesting and full of
fun facts.
