  • 1. Inquiry about recycling habits at home CEIP CARBALLAL Marín
  • 2.
    • We made and gave out an inquiry to our pupils´parents to know what the recycling habits at home are.The chosen group was the second cycle ( 3rd and 4th) as sample of the whole school.
    • We got 38 inquiries and these are the results.
  • 3. Question 1: Do you recycle at home…?
  • 4.
    • 10 families(or homes) ALWAYS recycle, 15 OFTEN, 9 NOT MUCH and 4 NEVER.
    • Therefore, 66 per cent of the homes have recycling habits.
    • 34 per cent do not have the habit.
    • Anyway, we wanted to find out more…
  • 5. How often do you recycle paper and cardboard ?
  • 6. How often do you recycle glass?
  • 7. How often do you recycle plastic, tins, cans, tetra-pak…?
  • 8. How often do you recycle batteries?
  • 9. What system do you use to separate materials at home?
  • 10. What are the main difficulties do you have to recycle?
  • 11. Summary - Conclusions
    • Just a few more of half the homes ( 66 per cent) have recycling habits. There is need to improve this situation. However, the main reason seems to be the lack of space (it could be caused by the system of separating in different bags or boxes) instead of information, which could be reinforced by our school.
    • There is not big difference concerning to materials. The most recycled ones are batteries. The least one, glass.
