Running order <ul><li>First Plenary: </li></ul><ul><li>Steve calls order and presents but first Steve introduces others at top-table: </li></ul><ul><li>Clive Furness – Director Finance and Operations who follows Steve’s presentation and talks about SM and M&E etc </li></ul><ul><li>Brian Dickens – National Partnership Manager who speaks after Clive about athletics </li></ul><ul><li>Jane Ashworth – who (is only on platform cos its all male otherwise) finishes by talking about the Conf and arrangements for the day. </li></ul>

Unique structure <ul><li>StreetGames is an alliance of developers of doorstep sport </li></ul><ul><li>The alliance can reach marginalised communities – a conduit for sport and positive messages – messages to improve community life and individual lives </li></ul><ul><li>And delivered in a creative way… </li></ul>
  5. 5. What have we promised <ul><li>Sport England: major funder </li></ul><ul><li>20 exemplars of all year round sport in deprived areas </li></ul><ul><li>Develop local infrastructure through volunteer support and training. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Minimum targets <ul><li>Contracted to Sport England to deliver 20 projects this year each with 3 sites </li></ul><ul><li>Contracted to deliver 3 sports on these sites </li></ul><ul><li>Contracted to work with 2 County Sports Partnerships </li></ul><ul><li>Contracted to deliver 4 Regional Games </li></ul>

How it fits together – the mechanics <ul><li>StreetMark – quality assurance </li></ul><ul><li>M and E – proving to funders; improving local reports </li></ul><ul><li>Money - £250 for StreetMark: 15% fundraising fee. </li></ul><ul><li>Regional Managers create networks of doorstep sport deliverers </li></ul>

NW, NE, L, WM </li></ul>
  10. 10. NW Games – the model 15 deprived neighbourhoods 5 sports 740 kids – 1500 total attendance 12 Mayors or a senior politician attended
