Urgent call for yorkshire based animators

Animated Yorkshire is setting up an agency to represent the best of Yorkshire’s thriving animation
industry. We want to create more opportunities in the region and to work for fair pay and good
conditions for animation.
We want to recruit a pool of talented freelance animators and small companies who would like
Animated Yorkshire to represent them in gaining commissions and animation project work.
We will work with you to understand your work and your strengths and weaknesses, and identify
potential markets for your work.
We will negotiate contracts which pay at an appropriate and professional level, and from time to
time will offer training projects at a reduced fee where there are learning opportunities.
Animated Yorkshire will take a commission from each project which will cover the cost of
management and a contribution towards ongoing running costs of the organisation.
In return we will promote you and your work and give you access to training and networking
opportunities. Once you are signed up – there are no guarantees of work, but we can promise to do
our best for you!
We are looking for versatile, creative animators able to produce high quality work, to meet the
needs of a wide range of clients, with good technical skills and a professional attitude. We’re also
looking for animators who can work in an open, collaborative style, to help us to build a supportive
community of like-minded creatives who continuously develop and improve what they do.
We would like to recruit animators who live within the Yorkshire region, who would like to
contribute towards a creative and sustainable industry. We can consider exceptions where people
have skills which we need and a flexible attitude ...
