2. Mission & Values “To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. 3. No one should go through life alone. “Rescue is possible.”

4. Inputs We need a synthesis of inspiring and dedicated volunteers with substantive wisdom to help teens understand that life is worth living. We need funding for facilities that could serve as a place for troubled teens to go, anonymously, to get help and be heard.

5. Process To get teens to feel safe and learn to love themselves, we can have workshops to inspire self-esteem and a sense of worth. Allow the teens to express themselves through anyway they want, such as art, talking, or just making new friends.

6. Outputs & Outcomes The idea of saving just one life is worth all of this. The idea of saving many lives is phenomenal. If you teach one person to learn to love themselves, then they can pass it on to someone. Then that person could pass it on. The cycle would continue, and lives would be saved.

7. Community Needs Teenagers suffer in silence, so you don’t always know when one needs help. This way, teens can come and get the help they need. With this organization, the number of teenage suicide will dissipate.

8. Why should you care? I’ve had to experience the tragedy of losing a loved one to suicide. To have someone die over something so preventable makes the dilemma that much worse. So many lives could be saved if we just listen and encourage our loved ones to get through.

9. Why The Shuttleworth Foundation? Your salient foundation is determined to produce a better world and inspire others to keep giving back. You encourage a breadth innovative thinking. Our innovation of preserving lives perfectly fits with your vision of improving on what we already have.

10. How can you get involved? The easiest way to get involved is to be there. Be there for your friend. Look for signs of distress or isolation. If you suspect someone you know is suffering or you yourself need help, contact someone you trust and get help.

11. Critical Thinking We want teens to comprehend deeply the awful and devastating effects of taking a life. We want them to come to a conclusion with the given information and reconsider killing themselves. We want people to dispute competing theories and understand that no one should ever live life by themselves and everyone ismeant to love and be loved.

12. Critical Action Pay close attention to the person that’s suffering, diagnose the problem, and get that person some help! To solve the problem that the person is facing and save someone’s life is a critical action; if it isn’t, I don’t know what is. Teach that person to love themselves; plan to spend time with them and make sure they know they’re loved.

13. Conclusion If you have even the slightest feeling that someone is suffering in anyway, get help, show them they’re loved, and simply be there for them.
