2. District Technology Status
The majority of the district’s
Classrooms in Grades 3 – 8 have
over 600 computers are less than
5yrs old.
The district offers free wireless
and computer access though the
Parent Center
All district labs except
Elementary are 3 years old or
less. 8 labs total.
All internet activity is filtered
and monitored for child safety.
We have 3x’s more bandwidth
than 4 years ago.
Students are offered a variety of
online classes through MVPS.
SmartBoards. (2nd grade and HS
will be completed shortly)
All educational buildings have
access to wireless internet.
We have had no internal
network outages in three years.
Students in grades 4 – 12 have
access to Android tablets or
IPADS.
Most work orders are answered
in 3 days or less.
We currently maintain over 900
connected devices.
3. Current Projects
A new lab will be installed in
the JH school in preparation
for online testing and
Classworks. (est. completion
late Oct. early November)
Wireless coverage in schools
will be expanded to alleviate
dead spots.
HS and Primary (2nd) classes
will be receiving interactive
whiteboards (SmartBoards),
laptops, document cameras
and training. (est. completion
November)
The District will be
evaluating a new internet
service provider to keep up
with increased bandwidth
demands. (We hope to have
100+mbs internet by next
Fall)
The Primary School has
received a network copier
printer for instructional use.
The district will continue to
offer Staff development to
increase teacher technology
proficiency.
