2. OBJECTIVE
The opportunity exist for the Navy
Exchange to add an online baby registry
to NEX shopping site. This opportunity
would allow expectant mothers to plan
baby showers more effectively reducing
the number of duplicate items while
increasing sales for the NEX.
3. Goal and Objective
Increase additional revenue through online baby
shopping.
Become competitive with other retailers who
already have baby registries.
Allow our military the opportunity to effectively
planned their new arrival from our Navy family
store.
Opportunity for expectant parents to create a
“must have” checklist.
Opportunity for expectant parents to receive a
discount for purchase of all items not purchased
4. Current Situation
NEX current online web page shows items for
purchase but there is no registry. Therefore it is
hard to plan a shower or purchase items for a
new mother.
The current situation doesn't allow us to be
completive with other retailers such as Baby R
US, Target, etc.
There is no increased financial opportunity.
Many young sailors are starting families and
without the registry, the NEX are missing out
financially without the baby registry.
