An open house was held February 25, 2016 to provide information to residents regarding an upcoming project that will widen Redwood Road between Bangerter Highway and 12600 South.
2. ABOUT THE PROJECT
• Widen last remaining two-lane segment on
Redwood Road
▪ Partnering with contractor to construct
up to seven lanes
• Pave newly widened road with durable,
long-lasting concrete
• Install median barrier along Redwood Road
between Bangerter Highway and 12600
South where needed
• Incorporate bike/pedestrian lanes for
improved safety and pedestrian access
• Realign cross streets to remove staggered
intersections along Redwood Road and
improve overall safety

• Redwood Road emerging as a principle commuter route
• Currently a two-lane road with left-hand turn lanes
• Connects cities of Riverton and Bluffdale
• Residents, businesses and commuters use corridor daily
• High demand for pedestrian, bicycle and bus access
• Last segment of Redwood Road to be widened between north Salt Lake
and Utah County

9. RELOCATION PROCESS

• Property owners/tenants MAY BE eligible for relocation benefits for full
parcel acquisitions
▪ Benefits MAY include:
– reimbursement for moving costs
– comparable replacement housing means (assistance, down payment, etc.)
– reestablishment expenses (business relocations)
• Property owners/tenants will be notified by UDOT ROW agent of
relocation benefits at time of acquisition offer
