Honda Civics are seen everywhere. Why is this? It’s because for over 30 years, the Honda Civic has
been one of the most beloved cars in the industry. A Civic isn’t built for one specific demographic; it is a
car that fits all types of people. Start to pay attention as you’re driving, and you’re bound to see a
multitude of Honda Civics. If you look at the driver and passengers in the Civic, you’ll see all different
types of people, from all different walks of life. It’s not like a Beetle, which is marketed towards younger
women, or a van that was built for a large family. Those are great cars, but they were built to serve a very
specific demographic. That’s what makes the Civic different; it is built in such a way that it fulfills the
needs of many different types of people. My family bought a Civic about two years ago, and our story
exemplifies the Civic’s adaptability and uses across a broad spectrum of markets.
2. My family bought a 1998 Honda Civic from another family, with whom we are very close.
The car was originally purchased by their 84 year-old grandmother, with all the features and accessories
that fit her liking. She happily drove the Civic for about a year until her eyesight started to go; she decided
it was time to sell the car. Our friends knew we were looking for a small, reliable car and suggested my
brother take a look at their Civic. He knew he wanted that car from the moment he saw it. He loved the
sporty feel of the Civic, the leather, and the great stereo system, among other things. Over two years
later, and at 25 years old, my brother is still driving his Civic and has yet to have any problems or
complaints.
Joe Olesh, an award-winning filmmaker, has recently joined the Tier10 Marketing team. Under the lead of
Creative Director Scott Rodgers, the agency has released a video that brings all of these themes together
in one film. Shot in San Luis Obispo, California, the video features scenery and angles that take your
breath away. And of course, the Civic looks amazing.
*The aforementioned video has been removed. Its timeline for syndication has been met, with results better than we
could have hoped for. Please stay tuned to Tier10Lab for a full case-study on the "Heritage" Civic Project.
