Honda Civic: Built for Everyone

  1. 1.      Honda Civic: Built for Everyonehttp://tier10lab.com/2011/06/27/honda-civic-built-for-everyone/June 27, 2011By Molly TrohaHonda Civics are seen everywhere. Why is this? It’s because for over 30 years, the Honda Civic hasbeen one of the most beloved cars in the industry. A Civic isn’t built for one specific demographic; it is acar that fits all types of people. Start to pay attention as you’re driving, and you’re bound to see amultitude of Honda Civics. If you look at the driver and passengers in the Civic, you’ll see all differenttypes of people, from all different walks of life. It’s not like a Beetle, which is marketed towards youngerwomen, or a van that was built for a large family. Those are great cars, but they were built to serve a veryspecific demographic. That’s what makes the Civic different; it is built in such a way that it fulfills theneeds of many different types of people. My family bought a Civic about two years ago, and our storyexemplifies the Civic’s adaptability and uses across a broad spectrum of markets.
  2. 2. My family bought a 1998 Honda Civic from another family, with whom we are very close. The car was originally purchased by their 84 year-old grandmother, with all the features and accessoriesthat fit her liking. She happily drove the Civic for about a year until her eyesight started to go; she decidedit was time to sell the car. Our friends knew we were looking for a small, reliable car and suggested mybrother take a look at their Civic. He knew he wanted that car from the moment he saw it. He loved thesporty feel of the Civic, the leather, and the great stereo system, among other things. Over two yearslater, and at 25 years old, my brother is still driving his Civic and has yet to have any problems orcomplaints.Joe Olesh, an award-winning filmmaker, has recently joined the Tier10 Marketing team. Under the lead ofCreative Director Scott Rodgers, the agency has released a video that brings all of these themes togetherin one film. Shot in San Luis Obispo, California, the video features scenery and angles that take yourbreath away. And of course, the Civic looks amazing.*The aforementioned video has been removed. Its timeline for syndication has been met, with results better than wecould have hoped for.
