FedEx was incorporated on October 2, 1997. However, its history can be traced back to 1973. It was initially called Federal Express, which was the name that the company used until the year 2000. After 2000, it was called ‘FedEx’. FedEx acquired a lot of companies in the 90s after the new millennium. Some of the companies that FedEx acquired were Tower Group International, World Tariff, and Kinko’s Inc. The company today employs more than 300,000 workers and ships more than 9 million shipments each day.
