Accomplishments
Successfully developed a Proof Of Concept to plot map points of permit sales in Houston (GIS).
This led to a lot of interest in pursuing production deployments of mapping existing data on
existing ESRI maps and layers of Houston infrastructure information. Future projects are currently
being discussed within the next 12 months.
Successfully documented, designed, and developed three KPI dashboards for a public entity.

Successfully updated an older WebFOCUS application to WebFOCUS 7703. Changed to application
programs to be developed and maintained in the GUI interface. Simplified all coding and
interfaces for easier maintenance by the customer.
Successfully designed and created an automated freight payment application that automated the
audit and payment of ocean freight invoices.
Successfully designed and created a medical study reporting database and ETL scripts. Generated
the ETL scripts once the database was created.
Successfully converted an older reporting environment that used SQL scripts (about 100 reports) to
the new WebFOCUS environment within a 3 month period, using both advanced SQL and WebFOCUS
scripting. Also mentored the other members of the team in WebFOCUS environment and database
query efficiencies. Maintained the reports, and extracted data once the project was completed.
Successfully designed dimensional data marts for a Sales reporting application using data from
SalesForce.com and Meeting Broker. Developed the technical specifications for the ETL jobs.
Worked on a successful project team to develop data marts and reports for a new hotel guest
loyalty program that increased sales. Also developed complex SQL reports to evaluate the
accuracy of the ETL that loaded the data marts.
Managed a project to develop a web reporting application to provide statistical and financial
information for an Automobile Insurance initiative. Designed the SQL Server, and developed and
updated DTS packages (using SQL) to load the SQL Server tables from Oracle tables and flat files.
Worked very closely with the end users of the application to implement and train.Worked on a
team that converted the legacy life insurance commissions system to a more automated
application. Our team provided the enterprise reporting from a Callidus output table and SAP/CD
to produce the Commission Statements to each agent. Used advanced SQL queries to pull data
from both sources and load into interim reporting tables.
Successfully developed tailored class material for training end users in WebFOCUS for a customer
that was threatening litigation. The resulting training classes convinced the customer to continue
to use WebFOCUS.
