Through clearly stated content and language objectives, a teacher decides what s/he wants ELs to know and be able to do. What should ELs be able to do at an identified proficiency level? B HOW? Delineate a step-bystep learning process to accomplish your objective(s). This should provide a clear picture of what specific activities a teacher and ELs will do to make sure that learning occurs. C As a result of A+B, what is the learner outcome? How would you measure what an L2 has achieved? OUTCOMES QUALITY of A and B (Adapted from Gloria Poole, 2010) How would you determine what and how much has been achieved?
