Give handout for why a person should use deadly force and why a person should carry a gun as a moral responsibility.
Discuss OODA? Observe, Orient, Decide, Act
The colors denote the universally taught color code system that has been in existence for many years in the professional (police, military, tactical, firearms instruction) communities. The NRA’s version needs to be referenced to the industry standard that people will find when they take advanced training.
Follow with a slide(s) with images of various defensive cartridges. Preferably an intact cartridge, a cut away and a captured fired expanded hollow point bullet.
A slide following with a small list of local or nearby firearms schools and one or two national (Gunsite, Front Sight, Thunder Ranch, etc) with their logos and addresses would be good as you can then print the slide as a handout for the students. Also discuss use of laser devices (Bullite, LaserMax, BeamHit, LaserShot, Crimson Trace, etc) for training at home. Those who don’t yet have firearms can benefit from pellet , BB or AirSoft trainers. BBCaps (gallery rounds) and sub-sonic .22 rounds for garage and basement? Issue of ventilation and safety. Again, if a slide is formatted properly it could be used as a handout.
Since this is an NRA course, a collage of scanned in images from NRA publications would be appropriate. I’d make your collage as you’re going to insert it and then ask NRA for permission to use it.
