(Children will have seen all Spelling Clouds on the wall, 
and explored them within the 4 daily activities, when 
playing Speech Sound Detective, through Independent 
Writing and Silly Rhyme Time.) 
Ready to move to the Purple Code Level? 
If given the Green Level visual prompts (shown here) could they give the sounds, use Duck 
Hands and choose the right number of lines/ numbers? 
Could they then choose the right sound pics, and sit them on the lines in the right order? 
Could they ‘play the word’ ie use the ‘follow the sounds, say the word’ technique, but also tell 
you which sound is played on which number, for all Green Level words? 
if you give them any Green Level words? Can they form s,a,t,p,i,n correctly? 
Can they read Green Level Readers and Sentences with fluency and comprehension? 
Can they write the Speedy Sentences - Write It, Read It, Check It, Change It (if need be)?
