Crowdsourcing is an emerging trend that is now moving beyond its traditional domains powered by ease of technology, an increase in connectivity and the social media revolution. A large segment of the "Crowd" in Crowdsourcing initiatives are students that are oft ignored or underscored largely due to them being considered still-in-training. In this presentation, I argue for the importance of involving students and their fresh (unbiased) perspectives to solve some of the intractable problems that the world today faces. I call this the Student Dividend in CrowdSourcing and the time and demographic for doing global good has never been better.
