  • Hey Jim,

I wondered what happened to you after our paths diverged from the VSDL at GMPG. Looks like it's been a wild and interesting ride for both of us.

  • Jim,
By accident I came accross your career overview. I retired from GM last year (41 years). I am now working for a firm doing Intellectual Property licensing.
I was on the Legal Staff and provided the legal support to Phil Gurascio (advertising) and Larry Faloon(design) for Demolition Man including the vehicle loan agreements for the Ultralite (including the copies on the VW chassis)and the other concept vehicles used in the movie. We must have met at that time.
I was one of the few GM lawyers interested in motorsports and after attending the Skip Barber school at Laguna Seca with my son, I actually bought one of the 1985 IMSA RS Cavaliers of which you were the project manager. Mine is the #36 car built by Chuck Gaa which I think became the development car and was last driven by Don Knowles at Daytona and was a DNF due to a bent axle (the long one).
In any event I would appreciate discussing the car with you and obtaining copies of any information you would be willing to share.
