Collect the Data Do it as early as you can Have a process to collect the data systematically (Autonomous) Focus on knowing how accurate the data is Volume and consistency count Collect whatever you can think of and more Get it into SQL Back it up. Don’t lose it. (it will be your greatest asset)

22. Step 2. Release the Data! Prioritize your questions Important measurements should be first. 2) Grab the raw data Using SQL! Transform the data Do as much as you can with SQL, then do the rest with Excel. 4) Summarize the data in a report 5) Annotate the report to give it meaning Highlight important results, write notes to make sure you remember how to read it.
32. Core Business Metrics Total Revenue per year, month, day Number of full time employees? Burn rate per month? Total number of customers? Daily, weekly, monthly active customers? New customers per day? Percent of customers that pay? Average purchase amount? Average retention of customers? (1 visit, 3 visits) Average Life Time Value of a customer?
