• A Discussion Item is a type of Service
Learning Item, which allows students to
enter posts to a discussion forum.
• Over the term students will build on their
exisKng knowledge about how Living Things
adapt to the environment. Teachers and
students can record the instrucKons/
reflecKons of each acKvity as well as type
these in.
• In order for students to be able to do this
they will need to know how to log onto the
Ultranet and navigate to the acKvity.

• Students will form small groups and write a
play script demonstraKng the adaptaKon of
an animal and present their play to the
class. Students will be encourage to
present these as animaKons.
• In order for students to be able to do this
they will need to know how to write a
script and have Kme to put together their
play/animaKon to present to the class.
