Want to know wear when you attend the Emirates Open Day? You might think you should stand out so Emirates will notice you, but take my advice- that's NOT the way to go! Read on to find out more...
2. #believeinyourself
You are trying to secure a
highly competitive,
professional job at an
airline that is extremely
conscious of cabin crew
appearance.
3. EVERY aspect of what
cabin crew wear
whilst on duty is
strictly controlled
#believeinyourself
4. from how to apply your
make-up to how many inches
your ponytail can be!
#believeinyourself
5. A LOT of this job is about
visual presentation and
you ABSOLUTELY must
look the part.
#believeinyourself
8. Forget any advice about
dressing to stand out
from the crowd- that
just won’t wash with
Emirates I’m afraid!
#believeinyourself
9. Your outfit must be
conservative in nature
and must allow the
recruiters to picture you
in the Emirates uniform.
#believeinyourself
10. The point of your interview outfit
is NOT to be in any way
remarkable. It shouldn’t glow in
the dark, it shouldn’t be bright
and you certainly don’t want to be
flashing any flesh!
#believeinyourself
11. Emirates are very
strict on cabin crew
uniform requirements
and every cabin crew
member must look the
same.
#believeinyourself
12. This is not the time to
express your
individuality and
uniqueness through
your dress- keep that
for the weekend!
#believeinyourself
17. You’re not going to be wearing
this suit out on a date or to a
nightclub (well I hope not
anyway!). So, the skirt should
fall to the middle of your knee
and definitely no shorter!
#believeinyourself
20. Shoes should be
conservative in colour
and have a medium heel.
Black, brown or navy
shoes are best and
please no sequinned
stilletoes please!
#believeinyourself
22. #believeinyourself
Now you’ll find this hard to
believe but I have seen
applicants turn up for
interview with red stilettos,
white shoes and thigh high
boots!! Needless to say, none of
them got the job.
23. When it comes to airline
recruitment, it DOES NOT
pay to stand out from
the crowd with your
dress!
#believeinyourself
24. Finally, don’t turn up to your
interview with bare legs as
you won’t endear yourself to
the recruiters. Make sure
you wear tights and your
tights should be nude in
colour and match your skin
tone- please don’t wear
black or white.
#believeinyourself
25. Here’s a wee tip for you- cabin
crew are expected to always
carry a spare pair of tights in
their bag. You should do the
same, so you won’t be caught
short if you get a ladder in them!
