- OREF mentors new researchersThis is a hallmark of OREF, nurturing new researchers so that grants become a springboard to pursuing NIH funding.There is a critical need for this kind of support, and OREF is the only one filling this role.
- OREF supports established researchersEqually important is supporting established researchers.Government funding for medical research is on the ropes.Industry support is drying up.Here, again, OREF fills a critical need.
- OREF studies improve patient careUltimately, everything we do at OREF is in service to this goal.We want to advance orthopaedics through research so that orthopaedic surgeons can help patients live longer, healthier lives.
- Rough economic climate over last several years has affected everyone.Researchers have fewer places to turn for funding.OREF donors, both corporate and individual, have felt the pinch.
