The September OFFSHC topic will be the 2013 OSHA update.
Jorge Delucca, OSHA CAS will provide the presentation. The
OSHA Update 2013 will cover the emphasis programs being
enforced by OSHA and other activities in Oklahoma. There will
be a discussion of work-related fatalities in Oklahoma in fiscal
year 2013.
As of August, there have been 24 fatal events in Oklahoma
involving 25 fatalities. A success story was the significant
reductions in fatalities in the oil and gas industry after the
safety stand down in the summer of 2012; there have been
five fatalities in 2013 compared to 12 in August 2012.
