2. Métis Centre Literature & Statistical
Databases
• To serve as one-stop shop for Métis
health and well-being information
• Capacity building through information
sharing, tutorials, glossaries
• Wide variety of audience: Métis
organizations, academics, federal
and provincial government agencies,
not for profit organizations, etc.

3. Métis Centre Literature Database
• Métis-specific peer-reviewed and
grey literature were scanned and
annotated.
• Currently, there are about 50 entries
• An additional 25 will be added in two
weeks

4. Métis Centre Statistical Database
• Developed in partnership with Statistics Canada
• Over 2000 tables relating to 300+ variables from the
2006 APS Adult Survey have been verified and
released
• 2x2 tables of frequencies and proportions
• Numbers are broken down by age group, sex,
province/territory, rural/urban and 6 select CMAs/CAs
in separate 2x2 tables
