Choose your culture: Too young
- 1. Choose Things of Value: too young?
Here is an attitude based on a “me first” value that you might recognize, along with a heavenly value to replace it with!
“Me First” Value:
You can’t expect me to do more
for others—I’m only a child!
Billy, could you please
give this pamphlet to
that man.
OK!
Wow!
prayed with him! And now he
wants more Bible teachings!
Heavenly value:
Jesus can use you in special ways
because you are young, and because
you have been offered special
attributes and characteristics that
are unique to this period of your
life! You don’t have to use your
youth as an excuse!
Dad, this is Bob! He wants
to come to our seminar!
Check out the following stories of outstanding youths who God used to accomplish His will:
Samuel (1 Samuel 3), Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:4—10), Josiah (2 Kings 22:1, 2), and David (1 Samuel 17:32—51).
What the Bible says: But God
chose the foolish things of the
world to shame the wise; God
chose the weak things of the
world to shame the strong.
