2. Introduction
• Google Analytics is a service offered by Google
that generates detailed statistics about a
website's traffic and traffic sources and
measures conversions and sales. The product
is aimed at marketers as opposed to
webmasters and technologists from which the
industry of web analytics originally grew.
3. Single App Integration
• It is very easy to integrate single app to google
analytics.
• The default property and views limits are very
large for most apps.
• Not many ways or variations of
implementation technique possible.
4. Enterprise wide implementation
• Implementing google analytics for enterprise
wide applications is a challenge.
• Have to think about the property and views
limitations of google analytics
• Many different ways possible
• Ultimately it depends on what data you want
to see and how
5. How we did it
• Our goal was to create single account on
google analytics and manage all tracking
codes/scripts from one place for all apps.
• We were expecting at least 20-25 application
onboarding
• The challenge was how to architect the
accounts
6. Alternatives First
• We had considered following alternative for
account organization (Per Environment)
7. What we implemented
• We implemented account organization per
application then environment
8. Gotchas
• Max data limits is not issue for most apps
• Be aware of very important limits • You can have 25 accounts and each account
can have max 50 profiles
