2. Plot Set in 1931, an illegal booze ring in New York, thought to be run by the the under ground bar owner Lui Mazzone but truly masterminded by the notorious crime lord Larry Fay and his goons. Michael Langley, a newly promoted NYPD Lieutenant and his loyal partner Andy Stepgates are put on the case, which goes a lot deeper and darker than they could ever imagine. After Andy is murdered, Michael is thrown into a world of injustice and corruption as he embarks on a revenge mission. Stock characters The Hero , Michael Langley – 32, a recently promoted NYPD Lieutenant. Clean shaven, snappy suit, a by the book cop who turns rogue after the death of his partner. The Partner , Andy Stepgates – 25, Michael’s partner and trainee. Loyal to his partner, aspires to be like him. The Villian , Larry Fay - 40, runs the booze ring in underground New York amongst other illegal ventures. He will dispose of anyone who crosses him. The Love Interest , Paula Gardner – 29, a reporter for the New York times.

We feel confident that the broad set of themes our film encompasses will be more than sufficient to pull a variety of different audience target groups in to see our film. The casting combined with this, will be sure to generate a profit in the box-office.
9. Three act breakdown Act one -- Introduction to Michael Langley and setting, roles established. Police raid on booze ring in Lui Mazzone’s bar (Big Lui’s) Plot point one -- Lui Mazzone arrested and murdered in his cell before his interrogation. Act two -- Michael and Andy move further into the investigation, Andy is murdered by crime lord Larry Fay after discovering crucial information. Michael goes on a revenge mission with the help of photo journalist Paula Gardner Plot point two -- Michael discovers the identity of Larry Fay and goes under cover, gaining his trust Act three -- Michael gains a private audience with Larry due to his “loyalty” and his information on a “big score” Michael quickly finds out that Larry knew his true identity all along and Michael is murdered.
