TEAM LEAD INSTALL ENGINEER Sept 2011 – Present
Install NCR Bespoke Hardware/ Software on multiple retail sites, for example Tesco,
Asda, Sainsburys, Burberry and Debenhams whilst making sure each piece of
equipment is working efficiently to maximise profits. I am considered a trustworthy
engineer within NCR and I have been sent abroad to carry out installs unsupervised.
Every job was completed successfully.
Duties:
Insuring hardware is installed correctly and adheres to health and safety
regulations.
Insuring data network is in place and working.
Liaise with client project managers to ensure software install can commence.
Testing hardware/ software to ensure its working efficiently.
Logging serial/ model numbers for each client’s asset database.
General preventive maintenance.
Last minute call outs for emergency jobs.

Duties:
In charge of everyday running of the shop from open tillclose.

I helped setup the shop from networking PC’s, setting up LAN printers to software.

EPOS ENGINEER (INSTALLATION/ FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER)
I was one of the main installation engineers for the company. I have isolated
problems in malfunctioning software/ equipment by properly following standards.
Duties:
Reporting reliability, design and maintenance problems to the technical support.
Troubleshooting, diagnose, debug and repair of computer systems and complex
software
Carrying out Site Surveys on petroleum and retail sites prior to installations and
finding out a correct action plan in response to customers problems, needs and
emergencies.
When carrying out jobs I was given a time limit in which I had to complete the
installation/ break fit, some of which were completed in one day and others
involved staying away from home for 3-5 days.

I was in charge of entrance to many major clubs in Birmingham.
